Northern New England Dog Rescue is a group of volunteers dedicated to
saving dogs that would otherwise be euthanized from High Kill shelters and
finding them permanent loving homes in New England.   While they are with us, adoptable dogs are housed in foster homes, with people we trust to care for them. They work on basic house manners and obedience and we get to know their personalities and what it is like to live with them. At NNEDR we try to make the best matches we can for the dogs and the families that are looking to adopt them. Please take them time to read about our adoption process. We also recommend you research the breed of dog you are interested in adopting to make sure your lifestyle and family are a good match for one another.

NNEDR is a non-profit corporation registered in the state of Vermont. Currently we meet our expenses through adoption fees, fundraising events, and donations.

Cocoa has been ADOPTED! After over two years in different shelters, rescues, and five months with NNEDR this very special girl finally has a family of her own and we could not be happier!

NNEDR Alumni: We would LOVE to hear from you! We often wonder how the dogs are doing that were adopted from NNEDR. We really would like to keep in touch and to post your stories and pictures on our alumni blog.

We have been rescuing a few more dogs than normal lately and we are in the process of rebuilding a strong foster network. We are looking for some volunteers. There are lots of jobs to be done. If you want to get involved on any level we would love to hear from you. You do not need to be local to get involved.
